What we recommend, and why

Every activity, tour, ticket or experience we link to is one we believe is genuinely worth doing. We recommend tours based on quality, ethics, customer reviews and direct experience — not commission rates.

What links earn us a commission

Affiliate links are clearly marked with the HTML attribute rel="sponsored". They open in a new tab. When you click and book, GetYourGuide pays us a small commission — without changing the price you pay.

Editorial independence

Affiliate revenue does not change our editorial judgment. We criticize tourist traps (the "free" spice gardens on the Kandy-Sigiriya road, the over-jeep'd Yala Block 1 in high season, etc.) and we say so when an activity is not worth booking — even if we earn nothing by saying that.
